I’d love to be witty, but I’m tired. We had a fantastic weekend away visiting Brian’s Parents, and got back last evening. At some point I’ll post pictures of our wonderful outing to Blennerhassett Island. For now, just a quick update.
On our way to Wild, Wonderful, West Virginia on Friday I got a call from the midwives’ office. My blood work results were in, and I was actually quite thrilled with all of them. My A1C Hemoglobin was “perfect”, according to the nurse. She didn’t give me the number, but basically my blood sugar for the last three months was spot-on and nothing to worry about. My Vitamin D3 level was 42,000 and Midwife S would like to see it between 80,000-90,000. So she upped my supplementation.
I then promptly burst into tears. I was completely overwhelmed with gratitude that someone finally heard me, and that hopefully fixing this issue will fix some of my main concerns. Things like my seeming inability to lose any weight, my temperature control issues, my achy joints, dry skin, and infertility. For someone who tries to avoid chemicals at all costs, I’m awfully happy about a new drug.
Now, however, I have a rash and feel like death. I think it’s a reaction to some sunscreen I used Saturday, but I don’t know for sure. It’s itchy and spreading, and I have a stomachache. So I’m off to hold down the couch. Happy Tuesday!
