Monday Update February 6, 2012

Filed under: That Which Pertains To Nothing Much At All — andreabaileys @ 4:25 pm

I’ve started this post about five times.  There’s just literally not much going on to report.  So maybe I’ll just give you the highlights of our weekend and such.

The Munchkin Coalition has had the plague.  But it’s been a very mild plague.  They’ve been snuffly, sneezing, and coughing.  But everyone’s been playing and keeping up even still.  Brian got it, and I honestly thought he had a case of Man Cold because he didn’t look sick.  Then I started feeling like death.  No fever, no outward signs.  Just congestion, sneezing, and a pronounced aching of every last cell I have.  I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck!  And as it seems to linger for an age, we’re all still lying about and moaning.

We had foster class Saturday, and focused on attachment and helping children deal with loss.  It was very heavy, and very necessary.  Each step of this process brings us closer to the conclusion that if we can do anything to help families in this situation we will.  Loving on children while their families get straightened out and providing a sense of belonging for however long needed is quickly becoming our focus.

Yesterday I sewed and watched Bleak House.  It’s ok, but it’s not a Downton Abbey substitute.  I seriously need the second season of DA to be on Netflix!

Seriously, there is nothing much going on around here.  What’s new in your neck of the woods?

Have you ever seen Frontier House on PBS, or Colonial House? I just put it on my Netflix queue 🙂

I have been doing DVD’s but switched to streaming for March. Not sure if they’ll have everything though. Our DVD player stopped working though and we don’t want to replace it. We’re hoping with streaming that we won’t have to! 🙂
